FAQs	For the first few minutes of driving my car, the steering is hard. Is the rack and pinion bad or the power steering pump?
FAQs	This symptom is classified as "morning sickness". This condition is caused by Teflon sealing rings on the spool valve wearing grooves in the aluminum housing of the rack and pinion resulting in an internal bypass of pressure. Once the housing warms up, the metal will expand and reduce the pressure loss. The rack and pinion must be replaced.
FAQs	I replaced the rack and now the power steering pump is whining. What happened? It never did this before!
FAQs	The most likely cause of power steering pump whine is air in the system. The Steering system must be bled completely.
FAQs	Steering not returning to center coming out of a turn. What could be causing this?
FAQs	The rack and pinion does not return to center by itself. The geometry of the front suspension causes the wheels to return to center coming out of a turn. If the vehicle will not return to center, first, check the front end alignment, then, check for a restricted return line in the power steering system. If the return line is restricted or kinked, this could be blocking the flow of fluid back to the pump.
