• Stabilus LIFT-O-MAT® trunk lid lift support replaces the worn OE unit to restore proper trunk lid operation. A precision-formed groove in the tube manages extension speed for smooth motion and a controlled stop. This damping profile helps prevent unsightly bouncing and shuddering of the trunk lid as it opens. An internal assist spring helps extend the lift support slightly after latch release so the trunk lid can clear the latch and begin opening properly. It also helps prevent immediate re-latching for smoother, more convenient operation. High-precision sealing and corrosion-resistant materials help maintain consistent performance across thousands of operating cycles.
