Each power window in a vehicle has its own motor and regulator located inside the door panel. The motor powers the gear on the regulator, which in turn moves the glass up and down along the window track. If either of these are not functioning properly, the window may not roll up, down, or both. The window also may move less smoothly than it used to, move at an angle, or make a lot of noise while in motion.
